Privacy Policy

What we collect

• A display name you type when you join a room (e.g. "Sam"). It is shown to other players in that room.
• Room content you create: the room code, and the song titles and artists you add or import for the game.
• An anonymous device sign-in. We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to give your device a random ID so the game works. There is no account, password, or email required to play.
• Crash and diagnostic reports. If the app encounters an error, technical details (like a stack trace) are sent to our crash-reporting tool so we can find and fix bugs. These reports are not linked to your identity.

We do not collect your real name, email, phone number, location, or contacts for gameplay.

How the data is used

• To run a game: show players in a room, present songs, score rounds, and display results.
• Game rooms are temporary and are cleaned up after play; they are not built into long-term profiles.
• We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, or use it for advertising profiles.

Who processes data for us

• Google Firebase (Firestore + Authentication) hosts the game backend and your anonymous session.
• Apple (iTunes Search API) is used to find and preview tracks; no account is required.
• Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) collects crash and diagnostic reports to help us fix bugs. Reports are not linked to your identity and are never used for advertising.

Your choices

• Add songs manually, via Apple Music search, or through a curated chart pack.
• Leaving a room ends your participation; room data is short-lived.
• To request deletion of any data associated with you, contact us below.

Age

SongSprint is intended for adults of legal drinking age and includes an age confirmation gate. Version 1.2 removes drinking prompts and penalties. No alcohol is needed or encouraged.
